Vacation brain was very much a thing last week even when we all were back in the office — blog posts may or may not have gotten scheduled, and resolutions weren’t fully thought out yet — but great news, the time to do these things is now! Today is your day to progress and achieve your blog goals for 2018! Follow these four tips to help you get back to the grind for 2018.
- Make lists of the essential things you need to do to see your blog resolutions come to life, and check them off one by one in order of most difficult to least. The most laborious task always gets pushed to the end, or not done at all, so best to tackle it head-on. Task management tools to help you: paper and pen, Asana or Trello (free tools), or get a cute new planner!
- Create a content calendar. If you haven’t ever made one now is the time to invest a few hours to create one. Your content calendar will allow you spec out your blog content ahead of schedule, so it’s top of mind every day. When you open your calendar, it holds you accountable for what needs to get written and allows you to see all your content holistically. Key takeaway: working off a schedule lets you see all your content in one place and be more strategic about what you are pushing out to your audience, making your blog content for 2018 that much better!
- Calm the noise. Focus on you and your goals and no one else’s. What is it you want to achieve for your blog in 2018? Don’t look at your friends or their goals, but take their ideas as inspo and create your strategy. When you have an idea of what it is you want to achieve it’s easier to implement.
- Positive Vibes only! While half the battle is preparation, the other half honestly is staying positive. When you radiate positivity, you will see and feel the effects so much more of your newly hatched “new year, new you blog plan.” Brew yourself a cup of coffee, craft a killer playlist and get ready to get back into the blogging groove for 2018.
