(See here Part I: Your Social Media Strategy For Fall)
Apart from the general content strategy that you should have in place for this busy time, let’s start with pointing out the key dates to remember:
Halloween: Oct. 31
Thanksgiving: Nov. 24
Black Friday: Nov. 25
Christmas: Dec. 24/25
(depending on where you and your audience lives)
New Year’s Eve: Dec. 31
While we urge you to always have a content calendar in place that leads you through the year, having a fully thought-out plan for this last quarter is particularly crucial to drive sales in and increase your earnings.

Again, think of creative ways to introduce your readership to high-quality content you produce and make the most of these key dates.
Starting with Halloween, you might want to do a little outfit inspiration guide. More into interior? How about you share some great decoration tipps for a cool Halloween get-together at your place?!
Moving on to Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas, you might want to inspire your audience with different gift guides for family members and friends.
Your community will thank you for saving them (we all know the pain and struggle of getting all the presents together, don’t we?) and help them to find the best deals on their/your favorite products.
Generally, we recommend you also include trends of the season and incorporate useful and trending inspiration into your posts. Let’s assume you’re into fashion: think of what trends exist right now and how you can make use of them in outfit posts or gift guides.

Here are some of the key trends we have found to be the most important ones:
- Suede
- Darker floral prints
- Burgundy
- Overknee boots
- Felt hats
- Flared leg trousers
- Bomber jackets
- Trench coats
- Biker boots
- Ankle boots
- Fringed details
- Velvet
- Bell sleeves
- Embellished details
- Capes and ponchos
- Tartan
- Statement fur
- Metallics
- Renaissance details

The list is surely endless! The important bit is that you help your audience to find what they might be looking for or give them an incentive to look for something! Some ideas to use the aforementioned trends in the fashion vertical could range from “My favorite coats under $/£/€ 150” to “The coolest biker boots to get right now” or “Must-have-pieces to get your home ready for Fall/Winter/Halloween/Christmas” — you get the idea!

And finally (also to boost your content SEO-wise), here are a couple of things to remember when it comes to your blog posts:
1. Make sure your site is mobile-optimised. There’s nothing worse than having a site that your followers can’t access properly by phone, and it’s crucial to have your site running for tools like Looks & Collections!
2. Have a “Read More” button to increase your click rate and make it easier for your followers to browse through a variety of posts on one site.
3. Link to other blog posts and suggest older ones to increase your viewing time on the blog. This might incentivize your readers to explore older posts and get inspiration from different content!
4. Look back at what kinds of posts have performed particularly well last season or last year. Use your Google Analytics, make a deep dive into your own performance data and take inspiration from what your readers were telling you with their clicks back then! Recycle old posts by pointing out a trend, for example, that is reoccuring this season and make your followers curious to stalk around your blog beyond page 1 of your site.
5. Check your widgets and links on all related Fall content that you used to produce in the past. It’s so important to offer your readership up-to-date suggestions when it comes to your chosen products! Use our Sold Out tool to detect the products that are not available any longer and replace them with actual, similar products.

How do you create a post with compiled pictures and text on them (like the Hello Fashion example)?
